Introduction

Skyye is a luxury rooftop lounge bar located in the heart of Bangalore, known for its panoramic city views, curated cocktails, and vibrant nightlife. Once a crowd-favourite, Skyye had lost its old charm in recent years, leading to a significant dip in footfall and brand engagement.

To bring Skyye back into the spotlight and reposition it as a premium nightlife and dining destination, a comprehensive rebranding and digital marketing initiative was launched. The aim was clear: to revive the brand, drive traffic, and create memorable experiences for patrons under the open sky.

Objectives

  1. Rebrand Skyye to align with contemporary tastes and premium expectations.
  2. Establish a consistent and engaging social media presence.
  3. Increase footfall through targeted event-driven promotions.
  4. Position Skyye as a luxury event and fine dining destination in Bangalore.

Branding & Marketing Strategy

The team began by analysing nightlife trends, audience behaviour, and competitor strategies in the Bangalore F&B scene. Skyye’s rebranding focused on curating “experiences over events” – from conceptualizing unique mid-week retro nights to monthly themed events designed to transport guests to ‘another world.’

A strong content-driven social media strategy was rolled out – including high-quality reels for performing artists, eye-catching event posters, and engaging stories. Paid and organic campaigns ran parallelly to maintain visibility. Signature weekend events like “Under the Skyye” (Fridays) and “Beyond Skyye” (Saturdays) were launched, alongside “Midweek Mixtapes”, a retro-themed Wednesday series. Visual and marketing collaterals were upgraded to reflect the new brand ethos.

    High-quality visuals were created to capture the mood, ambiance, and exclusivity of Skyye’s revamped space and events – from golden hour shots to artist close-ups.

    The voice of the brand was redefined — sophisticated, aspirational, and experiential. Every post and caption was designed to sell not just an event, but a feeling.
  3. Targeting:
    Social ads and organic content were tailored for Bangalore’s premium segment — young professionals, corporates, and nightlife enthusiasts — ensuring high-impact reach and engagement.



Results

Over the span of eight months, the rebranding and marketing efforts yielded measurable success for Skyye. The lounge’s Instagram following grew by 90%, increasing from 5,000 to over 9,500 followers — a testament to the engaging content and strategic promotions. Footfall saw a significant boost, with an estimated 35–40% increase in weekly visitors, particularly on event nights such as Midweek Mixtapes and the premium weekend series. This uptick in traffic translated into a 30% increase in overall business revenue, driven by higher table bookings, bar sales, and private event inquiries. The campaign also succeeded in re-establishing Skyye as a go-to rooftop destination in Bangalore, with stronger brand recall, increased word-of-mouth, and a more premium positioning in the competitive F&B landscape.
